Dashboard Overview

The VariantMiner dashboard is your central hub for accessing all platform features. This guide will walk you through the main interface elements and help you understand how to navigate the platform effectively.

Top Navigation Bar

The top navigation bar provides access to all major platform sections:

  • VariantMiner Logo: Click to return to the main dashboard

  • Files: Access file management features

  • Samples: Manage biological samples

  • Subjects: Patient/subject management

  • Orders: Analysis order processing

  • Variants: Variant browsing and analysis

  • Reports: Clinical report generation

  • Organizations: Organization management (if you have permissions)

  • Workspaces: Workspace management

  • Profile Menu: Access your user profile and settings

User Profile Menu

Located in the top-right corner, the profile menu includes:

The dashboard displays key metrics about your current workspace:

Workspace Context

Current Workspace

The dashboard shows information for your currently selected workspace:

  • Workspace name is displayed in the interface

  • All data and operations are scoped to this workspace

  • Switch workspaces using the workspace selector

Workspace Switching

To change your active workspace:

  1. Click the workspace name or selector

  2. Choose from available workspaces

  3. The dashboard will update to show the new workspace context

Many pages include breadcrumb navigation to help you understand your location:

Back Navigation

  • Use browser back button for previous pages

  • Many forms include "Cancel" buttons to return
